Happy Dogs Academy exists to give puppy parents clarity during one of the most important stages of a dog’s life.
We focus on understanding behavior through development, nervous system regulation, and the emotional experience of both dogs and humans — not quick fixes or rigid rules.

We believe behavior is communication — not defiance.
Raising a puppy is overwhelming. Conflicting advice, unrealistic expectations, and pressure to “fix” behaviors quickly often leave people feeling unsure and disconnected from their dog.
At Happy Dogs Academy, we take a slower, more thoughtful approach. One that respects development, prioritizes emotional safety, and helps puppies grow into dogs that can regulate themselves — and live well with humans.

Guiding puppy parents through the early months
Happy Dogs Academy offers education and guidance for puppy parents who want to build a strong foundation — emotionally, behaviorally, and relationally. Our work centers on prevention, understanding, and long-term well-being rather than obedience-driven outcomes.
Behind Happy Dogs Academy
Happy Dogs Academy is shaped by real people working hands-on with dogs every day — observing, learning, and adjusting with care and intention.

Christine Hahn
Right Hand :)
Christine works closely with puppies in a social daycare environment, supporting daily routines, regulation, and real-life interactions. Through consistent, hands-on care, she develops a deep understanding of how puppies communicate, settle, and navigate group dynamics.
Her day-to-day observations and thoughtful insights — often emerging in small but meaningful “aha” moments — contribute an important, practical perspective to the work behind Happy Dogs Academy.

FAQs
Is this traditional dog training?
No. While training skills can be useful, Happy Dogs Academy focuses on emotional regulation, development, and understanding behavior at its root — especially during puppyhood.
Who is this for?
This work is for puppy parents who want to raise calm, confident dogs without relying on force, fear, or constant correction — and who care about the long-term relationship with their dog.
Do you work with behavior issues?
Yes — but our emphasis is on prevention and early guidance. Many common challenges are best addressed by supporting a puppy’s emotional and developmental needs early on.
Is this right for every dog?
Every dog is an individual. Our approach is flexible, respectful, and grounded in observation — not one-size-fits-all methods. So yes, we like to meet every dog where he is at.
